DAIRY FLY CONTROL

Without use of chemical sprays, poisons or toxic baits

HAVE HAPPY COWS THIS YEAR!!

For Massive reduction in your spring and summer fly population

Use the ONE-TWO Punch:

ONE  -  Use a strong fly parasite program to kill flies before they emerge.

TWO  -  Use Redwood Reusable Fly Traps to reduce adult flies which lay eggs.

Reduce or avoid entirely the use of chemicals, which also can hurt your cow’s health and production

Here’s how:

Step 1 - Start Fly Parasite plans a week or two before normal fly season (you can start anytime, but the earlier the better.) Use the parasites inside and outside and let them canvas your area – best places are wet silage areas, manure piles, along edges of pit areas, wet feed bunkers, under calf hutches, in corners where manure is not thoroughly or easily cleaned.

Step 2 -The redwood traps will catch the adult flies that are laying eggs. You will be amazed by how many flies they will catch.  “The worlds best fly trap  is  made of a 12” square redwood frame & screening. The non-toxic bait provided will attract the flies into the screened area. The secret of the trap is they do not die immediately so their presence and activity attracts others flies making it a beehive of activity attracting more & more & more then soon they will dehydrate and all die.  When full, it is easily cleaned by dumping the dry dead flies and starting again. To keep flies out of house, place between barns & house.

THE HEART OF ANY GOOD FLY CONTROL PLAN

IS USE OF FLY PARASITES REGULARLY

What are they? They are tiny insects not much larger than a pin head. They are nocturnal, biteless and spend their entire lives near manure. The female seeks out a pupa (pre-hatched stage) and lays her eggs. Once hatched (very quickly), they eat the fly larva, killing it & then they hatch and repeat the process.

Ÿ  U.S.D.A. approved for mass release

Ÿ  Proven to reduce flies very significantly in tests with horses, cows and poultry

Ÿ  Used extensively and effectively with dairies, race tracks, stables, waste water facilities, stock yards, small farms & poultry houses. Excellent for Organic Farms.

Ÿ  Very cost effective compared to other programs

Ÿ  Safe - no dangerous chemical or poison residues for your animals to breathe or pickup through feed & grass or water.

Safety:  They will not bother any animals, people or plants in anyway.  They die off in a few weeks, then are reapplied and there is no way for flies to develop a resistance to them.

How to use: Fly parasite use can be started anytime during the fly season.  The best way is to start early in the season before flies multiply (female flies can lay 1,000 eggs).  Spread fly parasites like grass seed around manures areas, hutches, manure piles, areas that have manure build up, wet areas, especially feeder areas that can be wet.  The more livestock you have the denser and wetter the conditions are, the more parasites you will need.  They always are working but more is better.

How to order: Choose the plan you wish to use and call us to order or use online order form.  We will start shipment as soon as requested.

CONVERTING FROM TOXIC SPRAYS TO FLY PARASITES

The manufacturers of toxic sprays will laugh at you and say fly parasites will not work. Of course they will say this, they are selling the sprays!!

You may have noticed each year the cost of sprays has gone up and new sprays are needed because flies develop a resistance to the ones you are using. Those sprays are not doing your cattle or dairy cows any good!!

Sprays also kill the fly parasites so it is difficult to use them in combination.

Here is how to do your conversion.

Fly parasites do not kill adult flies, they kill the larvae and prevent the actual hatching of the flies.

To kill all the adults you would need to spray one more time, very heavily.

Then wait 2 days and release an abundant amount of  fly parasites.

Then 3 days later, release again.

Then 3 days later release again.

After that you are ready to go  on one our weekly plans.

If you sign up for one of our programs, we will provide free parasites for 2 of the three initial releases.

fly parasite plans .
